On October 20, 2024, TCF Netherlands held its first Annual Fundraiser in Amsterdam, an inspiring evening where over 150 guests gathered to support the right to education for underserved children in Pakistan. The event marked a major milestone in our journey as an ANBI-registered foundation in the Netherlands and demonstrated the power of community engagement.
Spearheaded by Shahzadi Shamsi Baig and her dedicated team of seven female volunteers, the fundraiser was a reflection of months of planning, outreach, and passion. With strong family and community support, they brought together individuals from across the Netherlands who share a common belief: that every child deserves access to quality education.
The event was further enriched by the presence of the TCF Pakistan team, with the fundraising segment led by Vice President Isfandyar Inayat, who shared powerful insights into the impact of education at the grassroots level. His remarks inspired the audience to give generously and invest in sustainable change.
Adding a unique touch to the evening was renowned Pakistani actress and humanitarian Ayesha Omer, who graciously attended and promoted the event. Her presence added warmth and star power, while her engaging interaction with the audience kept the energy alive throughout the evening. Ayesha even performed a soulful song, offering a delightful moment of entertainment that brought smiles to every face in the room.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests and the commitment of our volunteers, the event successfully raised funds to support an entire school located in Korangi, Sindh, Pakistan. This school currently educates 180 primary-level students, including 101 girls, and the funds raised will help cover its operational costs for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Beyond the financial outcome, the fundraiser was a celebration of solidarity, shared values, and hope. It also served to deepen awareness of IFTCF’s mission within the Dutch Pakistani community, setting the tone for even greater collaboration in the future.
We are deeply grateful to TCF Netherlands team for their exceptional leadership and to everyone who attended and contributed. Together, we are investing in the future and empowering the next generation—one student at a time.
