As part of its commitment to education and social welfare in the MENA region, Deutsche Bank’s Middle East Foundation is partnering with The Citizens Foundation in Pakistan to set up its third “Deutsche Bank Campus” in the rural area of Razi Dero, Gambat, District Khairpur. This new secondary unit will be equipped to teach graduates from three primary campuses of The Citizens Foundation which are located at very close proximity to the new campus. Commenting on the partnership, Philippe Vollot, Chairman of Deutsche Bank’s Middle East Foundation and the Bank’s regional Chief Operating Officer, said: “Through Deutsche Bank’s Middle East Foundation we always aim to break the cycle of youth unemployment through early intervention and help young people reach their full potential by developing employability skills, confidence and aspirations. We are delighted to continue our support for The Citizens Foundation confirming our long-standing commitment to help young generations become who they were born to be.” Syed Asaad Ayub Ahmad, CEO, The Citizens Foundation, said: “As of 2014, The Citizens Foundation has established 1,000 purpose-built School Units nationwide with an enrolment of 145,000 students. We would like to thank Deutsche Bank’s Middle East Foundation for their support and kindness towards providing quality education for many needy and deserving students of this area for a better and prosper future.” Deutsche Bank has been long partnering with The Citizens Foundation supporting the setup of two primary units and one classroom in Thatta, Mansehra and Karachi in Pakistan.
